As a kid, this Siam Spicy location was one of my favorite restaurants. I was recently in the area and craving Thai food, so I stopped in for the first time in several years. I feel like the best way to judge a Thai restaurant is by its Pad Thai, and that is what I ordered. It was not good. The noodles were greasy, bland, and soggy, and the fried tofu was cold and old-tasting. Tom Kha Gai soup was fine, but not exceptional enough to make up for the sad Pad Thai and high prices. I'm sad to say I won't be eating here again, especially when so many better options exist.

Great food! The lunch Pak Pak wtih chicken was only $7.54 and it came with hot & sour soup. It was so tasty and there was more than enough for a lunch portion - even enough for a dinner portion! Decent prices & good food! :)

It 's a quiet little place....never have to wait for a table, which is a good thing. I have found everything here to be quite tasty....from the geen curry.....to tom yum.....pad vonsen.....and other noodle dishes. I have not tried the seafood yet. The atmosphere is sedate but the service is quick and efficient. It is also very clean. I would like to see a bit more Thai ambiance....music to set the mood, maybe some burning incense to bring interest. I have been meaning to post photos here....the restaurant itself has lovely photos of the dishes posted on their walls. I will try to remember to take & post photos next time.

I've been going to this place for 20 years and it's my favorite Thai place! Their Pad Thai is the standard I judge all Pad Thai by. They have great Kra-Tiem, great Masaman and great Pad See Ew (with your choice of Chinese or American broccoli). The spring rolls are great and Thai iced tea and coffee are good too. My only knock against this place is that their chicken satay is usually dry, tasteless and rubbery. That said, I love this place and will be going there for years to come.

I'm very picky when it comes to food.... The chicken MUST be good to get a good review!!!! ***DRUMROLL PLEASE***........I'm absolutely in love!!! I ordered PadThai Medium Plus: the chicken is awesome, the shrimp is amazing, the spice is perfect! TWO THUMBS UP!!

My coworker and I have been coming here quite frequently and we love it. The food is delicious! I love the basil vegetable + tofu dish. Service is and setting are good as well. Definitely a great place for lunch!

It is often quiet inside, with more people ordering take out orders than actually eating inside, but that means that you get decent service. I have only ordered one thing, but I would highly suggest it if you like seafood at all.... the Koong Op Moh Din is very good. It is often enough for two meals, if you're not feeling particularly hungry and heats up well at home for a late night snack or lunch the next day. The spring rolls and other appetizers are nothing special, but not bad either. The prices are what you would expect for the area. It's nothing "great" as In "WOW!!!!! I have to rush out there every day" but if you have a craving for Thai and enjoy a good seafood dish it is a welcome place to try.

Oh how I love thai food. I always order pad thai and, to me, its the best Ive had. The service is prompt and friendly and seating is always readily available. The decor is basic but matches the meal price accordingly.

This place never let's me down! I sometimes come here for lunch and when you get a free soup with your meal! Typically I order the Pad Thai with medium or medium plus spice and it is always delicious. They offer a ton of great thai and curry dishes where you pick the meat, or tofu and the spice level. This place is unique because they offer 6 different spice levels so everyone can have something they like. I like spice and the medium is hot enough for me! They have good prices- my pad thai with chicken dinner is ~$10. You can eat here for $10-15 per person and even share a dish that comes with white steamed rice. The atmosphere: this restaurant isn't the prettiest, nor is it fancy- it's more like a tiny hole-in-the-wall with delicious food and friendly, fast service. The food is fresh. There is a Thai-authenticity vibe to the place and the food! Recently they got the booths fixed so they're more sturdy and comfortable. There is a large working crowd that comes here during the workday. I've been coming here for years and will continue to. I recommend this place!

I have not been to this place in ages but the warmth and friendliness of the staff really stands out to me. It's a restaurant where I'm comfortable bringing a friend for a leisurely meal (and to catch up with great conversation in a nice setting). It's also a restaurant I've been to with members of the family for a shorter, quicker evening meal. It has been very busy in the past but the most I would say I have waited for my order is about 30 minutes. I must compliment the staff on actually offering excellent suggestions about vegetarian choices and being honest about particular details that I request such as avoidance of fish oil and the like in meals. The flavor of the food is outstanding and there is such a great variety of choices. I hope to make a return visit soon.

What happened here?: I was the only customer in the place and received service almost worth booing. I had to waive my server down several times, to get water refills, after all it is Thai food. A nice young man, just more interested in his new phone I guess. He was also wearing street clothes and a ball cap. How about some decorum? It might have been easier to text him. Now my buddy raves about this place, I'm not quite there yet. I no longer eat high-carb food so the rice and noodle dishes are out. I usually order the salads at Thai restaurants because, for whatever reason, they are enormous. Not the case here. I started with two of the smallest spring rolls I have ever seen and the dipping sauce was generic. I then ordered a seafood salad ($10.95) that had three medium shrimp and about five pieces of squid over a cup of lettuce. The dressing was hot, hot, hot and the only redeeming part of the meal; not including the Tootsie Roll that came with the check. I just don't get it. Other Thai restaurants have these gigantic salads and I have to take part home. It's a good thing there's a Subway next door. I'll just go back to that little Thai place in Ferndale on Nine Mile or the one in old Rochester.

I have only had one dish here, so I will not give it a 5 for that reason only. I love the drunken noodles. Excellent!! Good service, they leave a pitcher of water on the table which i found helpful. I would absolutely recommend this place! YUM!!

I've been there twice now, and had a great experience both times. If you don't want to be sweating all night long, order everything Milder than you think you should! last time I ordered "mild +", which is supposed to be just a little kicky. the soup was so spicy I could barely eat it, although the other flavors in the soup were very good, and my "mild+" dinner was spicy and pepper and gingery, and wonderful! Service is great, prices are reasonable, portions are large. Their Pad Thai is some of the best I've had. I tend to be there after the dinner rush, so I don't know how busy they get during lunch or dinner rushes. Last time I was there it was around 7:30 at night, and I think there were 4 or 5 other groups there.

I have eaten lunch here a few times, The Green Curries are OK, i had Pad Thai once & i thought it was far too sweet. The service at lunch time is brisk & Friendly but the food really is not that great.

This is a must try if you have the time. So, it's in Farmington Hills right near the place where good food comes to die known as Southfield, yet it is simply fantastic with a few major caveats. So here's the breakdown: The food is fantastic. It's not overly oily, it's fresh and the sauces they use seem to have more flavor than I'm used to from other Thai restaurants I frequent (and as a person who loves hot food, I've frequented many of these places). I'm the sort of guy who usually finds something he likes and sticks with it. I enjoyed their food so much that I had to try and have tried most of their menu (limited to Chicken and Tofu dishes ... I don't like what Thai/Chineese/Asian food does to cow and I'm never brave enough to try the seafood ... yes, I know that's a sin). Caveat: Hot means HOT, Medium means pretty hot, Mild Plus means Kinda Hot, and Mild means A little less than hot. I've taken people who sort of like spicy food here, had them order mild, and had them sweating. Caveat #2: By "The Food is So Good", I mean one time I had a thick metal wire amongst the noodles in my Pad See Eew (however it's spelled ...) and I returned a few hundred more times. And I'm not the first person at my place of employment to have an identical experience. The service is fantastic. Caveat: They have very few tables, which means they don't have a fast turnover. The line may have four or five people in it, but they're all going to be standing waiting for 40 minutes while everyone seated enjoys their food. Generally your fine if you arrive for an early lunch (11:30 AM or prior) or a late lunch (after 1:15 PM). This is a well liked place amongst the office drones in Southfield. The place is usually busy with dine-in folks while maintaining a constant stream of carry-outs, though I have never done carry-out here. If you get a dish that comes with rice, it's proper sticky rice, perfect for the chopsticks. ProTip: Re-read Caveat #2: chew your food well. I'm guessing that the noodles they use are dried and wrapped in metal wire, which is how it ended up on my plate. This hasn't happened since 2002, but it would have been wrong not to mention it.

I am the type of person that like to stick to what I like at thai places, that meens spring rolls and Mas Sum Mun. first, why do thai restaurants give you the soup cup? why do they even bother? that soup is to nasty and tastless, why fill up on that crap? why even waste the produce and time it takes to make it? crappy veggie broth with day old rice?! no thanks! suggestion, skip the soup and make the spring rolls better! the spring rolls are the sorriest little spring rolls I ever did see! tasted mehh, Im used to nice fat spring rolls like at Thai Pepper!, not these! the Mas Sum Mun was pretty tasty and they gave me a whole pot of it! enough for leftovers for tomorrow. overall, I would come back to this place. Maybe Ill try the Pad Thai!

When I first moved to Michigan, this was the place frequented for Thai food. It was pretty close to where I lived, & I liked the food. I tend to like noodles, so I usually got the Pad Thai or Pad See Ew. One of the last times I was there, I got my leftovers packed up to go, but then I got distracted checking out a cute guy a couple of booths down, so I forgot to take my leftovers with me! I didn't even notice until my friend was driving down the road, so of course she laughed at me & told me it was too late to turn around...they'd probably already thrown my box away by then. So, no cute guy, no leftovers. They're on the west side of the road, between 13 Mile & 14 Mile, if I remember correctly, in one of the many little strip malls along that road (kind of reminded me of CA).
